I've done that with mine over the years and it just helps stop scratches etc on the display back and bottom. You can also get cases-come-skins-come-shells which you can attach to your Mac to help protect it as well. Perhaps a spare MagSafe power brick so you can leave one plugged in at home and one for on the road? Since it's 2015 you'll need thunderbolt to XXX (HDMI probably) adapters to connect to your monitors, but they should be easily sourced from many online places. Remote Desktop built in (I can never remember that off the top of my head), so you maybe able to ignore my comment about Microsoft RDP on MacOS. If you're going to do Windows 10 with Parallels, if you use Windows 10 Pro I believe you'll get MSTSC.
